What qualities should I look for in a real estate agent?
Look for an agent with experience, market knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to your goals! In addition to these skills, it’s important to find someone you enjoy working with - Interview potential agents, learn about their work ethic, and decide if they’re fitting with what you’re looking for. The home buying and selling process can feel heavy and it’s important to find the right person to help navigate carrying that weight.

Can you share a little bit about how you'd approach helping an out-of-state buyer find their new home?
I really enjoy helping out of state home buyers. I am familiar with all of the different neighborhoods in Eugene, Springfield, and the surrounding areas which is very helpful. It allows me to explain pros and cons of different areas. I ask a lot of questions! I love to listen and hear what the buyer is dreaming and hoping to find in their next home base. For me, it is extremely satisfying to find that puzzle piece.....the needle in the haystack. We have had historically low inventory since 2016, so searching for a home has been more challenging than in a balanced market. Now even more so with the higher interest rates. The good news is that there is less buyer competition, sellers are more flexible and reasonable, and the home prices in our area are still appreciating. I do facetime tours, video tours, neighborhood and market reports. I provide as much information as I can to the buyer who is not able to be here in person.
