• College Hill

College Hill median real estate price is $601,485, which is more expensive than 74.6% of the neighborhoods in Oregon and 79.9% of the neighborhoods in the U.S. College Hill is an urban neighborhood (based on population density) located in Eugene, Oregon. It is actually located on a hill, hence the name! This means the homes on the eastside get great sunrises and the homes on the westside get great sunsets. There is also a closed water resorvoir tank on top that is a huge attraction. The city is going to decommission the reservoir and I am not sure how this will impact the area. This water tank has a flat top which is a very large smooth surface and the perfect place to rollerblade, rollerskate, dance etc. You can go any day and find someone there appreciating the space.

Many of the residences in the College Hill neighborhood are older, well-established, built between 1940 and 1969. A number of residences were also built between 1970 and 1999. Many things matter about a neighborhood, but the first thing most people notice is the way a neighborhood looks and its particular character.

Also, more people in College Hill choose to walk to work each day (14.1%) than almost any neighborhood in America. If you are attracted to the idea of being able to walk to work, this neighborhood could be a good choice. If knowledge is power, then imagine the cumulative power of one neighborhood where many of the adults have earned an advanced degree, such as a Masters, law degree, medical degree, or even a Ph.D. This is certainly the case in the College Hill neighborhood, where 40.0% have earned an advanced degree. Compare that to the average neighborhood in America, where just 13.1% of adults have completed a post-graduate degree, and you can see why this neighborhood is a stand out. In fact, this neighborhood has a higher rate of adults with an advanced degree than 97.2% of the neighborhoods in America.

In addition, the College Hill neighborhood stands out within Oregon for its college student friendly environment. This neighborhood is home to a number of college students, is relatively walkable, and above average in safety. In combination, this makes it stand out for a good place for college students to consider. In fact, 8.3% of this neighborhood's residents have Norwegian ancestry and 0.7% have Armenian ancestry.
